How do you play Sort The Countries?
Each round shows up to four categories — Population, Land Area, GDP per Capita, and Highest Elevation — with five countries per category in randomized order. Drag one country onto another to swap their positions until every row reads least to greatest from left to right, then press Submit.
How many turns do I get, and what happens when I submit?
You get three submissions per day, shared across every active category. Each time you press Submit, any country in the correct spot locks in green; the rest flash red and reset to a neutral tile so you can keep rearranging them. A round ends as soon as every category is fully sorted or your three turns run out.
Is there a new challenge every day?
Yes. Each day's puzzle is generated from the date plus whichever regions and categories you have selected, so everyone sorting the same combination sees the same five countries per category. Once you finish a specific region-and-category combination it's locked until the next day, though changing your regions or categories in Settings serves up a different puzzle for the same day.
What regions and categories can I play?
Toggle between World, US States, Canadian Provinces, Australian States, and UK Countries with the region buttons above the game, and choose which of the four categories appear in Settings. Land Area and Highest Elevation can also be switched between metric (km², m) and imperial (mi², ft) units.
Is Sort The Countries free to play, and does it work on mobile?
Yes to both. It's completely free in any browser with no account or download needed, and the drag-and-swap board works with touch as well as a mouse, so it plays well on phones and tablets.
Does the game keep track of my stats?
Your total days played, current daily streak, and best game (fewest turns and fastest time) are saved on your device and shown on the Stats screen, broken down by region and category. After finishing a round you can also copy or share a results summary.
